Cove PTO Comedy Night!

We Are Celebrating Read Across America

Monday, March 3rd.

Thank you to the parents and guest readers who volunteered to attend Monday morning's "Parents, Pajamas, and Pages." Guest readers are invited to attend a casual breakfast, sponsored by the Cove PTO between  8:30 and 9:00 AM.

At 9:00, guest readers will go into their child's classroom and read to the class. 

It would be fun for parents to bring their favorite children's book.  

Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas on Monday.

PTO Sponsored Event Inspires Kindergarten Class!

After watching a performance of The Treetop Collector’s Club by The Mudeye Puppet Company (Cove School Parent, Bruce Orr).  Mrs. Roy’s Kindergarten class worked to gather a collection of recycled materials.  On a recent morning, the class gathered the collection on the rug and worked to create their puppets!  It was a truly magical learning experience to watch the class choose their materials and begin to create these masterful puppets.  As they were working, you could hear them beginning to create dialogue between the puppets and choose materials to add movement and flair to their design.  Here are photos of this first stage of the puppet making process.
