Grab Your Hat and Read to the Cat!
Monday, March 3rd: Pajamas, Parents and Pages!
You’re never too old, too
wacky, too wild,
To pick up a book and read
with a child.
You’re never too busy, too
cool, or too hot,
To pick up a book and
share what you’ve got.
In schools and
communities, Let’s gather around,
Let’s pick up a book,
Let’s pass it around.
There are kids all around
you, Kids who will need
Someone to hug,
Someone
to read.
Come join us Monday March
3rd…
Your own special way
And make this America’s Read to Kids Day.

PTO Sponsored Event Inspires Kindergarten Class!
After
watching a performance of The Treetop Collector’s Club by The Mudeye Puppet
Company (Cove School Parent, Bruce Orr).
Mrs. Roy’s Kindergarten class worked to gather a collection of recycled
materials. On a recent morning, the
class gathered the collection on the rug and worked to create their
puppets! It was a truly magical learning
experience to watch the class choose their materials and begin to create these
masterful puppets. As they were working,
you could hear them beginning to create dialogue between the puppets and choose
materials to add movement and flair to their design. Here are photos of this first stage of the
puppet making process.
